Narp ideas senior people

Imagine getting to a point in life where all you have acquired is deep regret for not having done something you wholeheartedly wanted to do. Most of us never follow through with many of our goals and end up feeling like failures. As humans, we all have goals and ambition, and age is not a restriction in achieving any of them. There’s never a right or wrong time to go after what you want or love, no matter what stage of life you are in.

According to a famous British novelist, C.S. Lewis, “You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream. As we get older, our desire for risk-taking keeps going down.”

Age is often seen as a biological factor that prevents us from doing what we love. Hence, it has made a lot of individuals more occupied with protecting what they already have at hand instead of striving and aiming to achieve more and more. There is also what is acknowledged as the fear of the unknown. Most people would not want to venture into areas of uncertainty; they often will instead want to remain in their comfort zones. Adventure, ambitions and the motivation to follow your dreams should not die with age. There is still the fun side of pursuing goals and motivation that should keep you going. If you believe you are too old to achieve anything in life, that will keep you stuck.

Your mindset is a core determinant when it comes to achieving goals and understanding that age shouldn’t limit you. Each new era brings new experiences; you need to disposition the ideology that as you age, you do not have enough time on this earth to do everything you want to do. You are never too old to achieve any goal you put your mind to. This is where the idea of positivity and faith works hand-in-hand. A positive mindset is of great importance when it comes to goals- setting and achieving them. I don’t know what your case might be, you might have work day-by-day, but you don’t get the results you are hoping for. You keep writing the story you think everyone deserves to read, but no one looks at it. It is not the end of the world. Remain positive, believe- in the strength of your potential, have faith, and remain consistent. Consistency is the key to success of any kind. It is the difference between your goal remaining as a distant dream or becoming a reality. Whatever inspires and motivates you, strive to achieve it as long as it is aiming for a definite cause.

Let us consider 63-year-old stand-up comedian and motivational speaker, Julia Scotti, as a typical example. At 63, she is doing well for herself; she didn’t let age stand as a barrier to her greatness. In an audition for America’s Got Talent, before she started her jokes, she said, “I want to show people that age has nothing to do with it. You know you don’t stop just because you got gray hair.”

Do not allow your vision to be narrowed down to thinking “I’m too old,” “my faculties aren’t sharp enough anymore,” “I don’t think I can do it,” or “it is already too late.” It is never too late. These negative thoughts or statements could stop you from realizing your true potential irrespective of your age. Success has nothing to do with age. According to Jackie Joyner-Kersee, “age is no barrier. It’s a limitation you put on your mind.” It is all about the mindset, the effort, the hard work, the sacrifice, and faith that it will be great.

Just as I stated earlier, age is not a principal barrier to success or any achievement. You can do it; it is never too late to follow your dreams.
